Well, you know me. Can't keep my nose out of other people's business. Naturally, I followed him. In the car. At a discreet distance. The guy ran all the way into town and down to the beach. That's a fair piece. I would have been dead.
By the time I got out, he was sitting at a table having a solitary drink. Now here's where I just get weird. I can't begin to explain this. I went and made myself a drink at the bar, but I suddenly had second thoughts about joining him. What if he was meeting someone? I mean, after midnight, not another soul in sight, and he's here drinking alone? Surely not. Or maybe he prefers to be left alone and this is some sort of routine of his. Suddenly and uncharacteristically unsure of myself, I took my drink to the other table. I'd noticed him eyeing me as I walked by, so I knew he'd not only registered my presence but liked what he saw. But like a couple of gawky schoolkids at our first dance, we ignored each other while we finished our drinks.
I had my back to him (because that's what gawky schoolkids do) but, believe me, I had my ears atuned to pick up any sound from behind me. We were alone and the night was still, so I readily heard the scrape of his chair as he rose to go.
I decided to chalk this up to a failed attempt, but when I got up from my own chair and turned around, there he was staring at me in a very appreciative way. Even at a distance in the dark, I could see how cute his smile is.
Message received loud and clear, brother. I walked up to him and introduced myself. His name is Travis, and he's reasonably new to town. It's easy to tell when a guy is into you, and boy was I ever into him too. We talked and flirted up a storm, grinning at each other like a couple of dopes. After a while the lateness of the hour caught up with us and we both headed home to get some sleep. It was pretty late. We promised to get together again soon. This looks promising.
When I got home I saw another ghost across the street. He wasn't the same one I met before, I'm positive. But I was just too tired to do anything about it. He's probably not going anywhere. I'll see him again. I crawled into bed and fell right into a great sexy dream about Travis which I couldn't remember very well when I woke up. Damn. Some of my dreams would be fantastic made into a book of short stories, if I could only remember then long enough to write them down. I slept late, as in my habit, and woke up feeling very happy and particularly well rested. Must have been some dream.
Later in the day I was feeling like doing some socializing, but too lazy to actually bestir myself to go out, so I got on the computer and found a chatroom that didn't look like it would be filled with pervs. I must have some good karma going for me or something, because I got an IM from Travis as soon as I entered the chatroom. Ignoring the rest of the room, we resumed last night's conversation in IMs and I discovered the all-important fact that he doesn't have a girlfriend. YES!
Uh, make that doesn't have a girlfriend YET.
YES, I am so glad you're back. I love that pic with the rays beaming down on them. They are going to have so much fun. Two flirties flirting. I saw Travis do something similar in my game the other day. He drove up to the graveyard in an old car, got out, a ghost got in and drove away and then he started running to somewhere. I didn't follow him though.
ReplyDeleteGreat story. Love the pic and the build up of the relationship with Travis.
ReplyDeleteOMG and LOL. Somehow I ended up with two Travis Carsons in my game. Maybe story progression moved him in from the bin.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea until I made Zayne accidentally-on-purpose run into him at the beach again, and they were standing there nose to nose flirting like it was an Olympic sport - suddenly Zayne's phone rang, she answered it, and it was the other Travis.
She knows both of them well enough to be good/best friends and know their traits, so she's been chasing both of them around town. ROFL.
They're both single, so I can keep either one without things getting messy. The only difference is their careers: law enforcement versus athletics. Dee, do you have a preference at all?
ROFL
ReplyDeleteThis gets better and better. Don't you just love this game and it's surprises? My husband is going to be in here in a minute wanting to know what's so funny.
Keep whichever one you want to.LOL
Maybe one Travis thinks the other one isn't doing it right. LOL
It's just so funny. I can imagine the way you felt when the phone rang and it was Travis.
Now at least I know I'm not going crazy. When I started the riverview game I noticed one of my sims, that I didn't think I put in the game, had moved in with a family. I thought maybe it was me and I put her in and didn't remember.
Still laughing at this.
Where's a kleenex?
Love that pic!
